Question 1

What is Verge AI?

Accepted Answer

Verge AI is an AI strategy consultancy for small business owners who want to use AI to save time, grow revenue, and compete without hiring a dev team. Every engagement ties AI decisions to measurable business outcomes. Founded and run by a digital strategist with 15 years in digital strategy.

Question 2

Who does Verge AI work with?

Accepted Answer

Verge AI works with small business owners and service-based founders who are overwhelmed by AI tools and want a clear plan. Ideal clients are owners of businesses with one to fifteen employees who need to free up five to fifteen hours per week and want strategic guidance, not custom software development.

Question 3

Does Verge AI build custom AI software?

Accepted Answer

No. Verge AI is a strategy and advisory practice, not a development agency. Engagements focus on diagnosing where AI fits in your business, building a roadmap, recommending the right tools and workflows, and guiding implementation. If custom software is the right answer, Verge AI will scope it and refer you to a trusted build partner.

Question 4

What does an AI strategy engagement look like?

Accepted Answer

A typical engagement starts with a discovery call, followed by an AI readiness audit that reviews your website, content, tools, and workflows. You receive a prioritized roadmap with the top three to five AI moves for your business, ranked by impact and effort. Implementation support is available as a separate phase.

Question 5

How is AI strategy consulting different from AI development?

Accepted Answer

AI strategy focuses on which problems to solve and which tools to use, while AI development focuses on building custom models or software. Strategy engagements are faster, lower cost, and produce a plan plus vendor recommendations. Development engagements produce working code. Most small businesses need strategy first to avoid wasting money on the wrong build.

Question 6

What if my business doesn't really need AI?

Accepted Answer

Then we'll tell you. The audit comes first for a reason. If the honest answer is that a simpler fix, or the tools you already pay for, cover your gap, you'll hear that from us in writing. We would rather send you off with a clear map than sell you something you don't need. The consultants worth hiring are the ones willing to say where AI does not belong.

Question 7

How long does it take to see results from AI consulting?

Accepted Answer

Engagements are structured so the first quick wins land within weeks, not months: the roadmap leads with the highest-impact, lowest-effort moves, and several are designed to be actioned the same week. Bigger shifts like content and workflow overhauls build over a quarter. Every engagement starts with milestones tied to your specific outcomes, so you can measure progress at each step.

Question 8

Is Verge AI for solo founders or teams with employees?

Accepted Answer

Both. Solo founders benefit the most from workflow automation and content AI to reclaim time. Small teams benefit from building AI into client delivery, lead nurture, and reporting. Verge AI tailors the plan to your team size, budget, and the specific bottlenecks costing you the most hours each week.
